About Me

Who I Am

Hi! I’m Romeo Garcia Jr., an Application Engineer at Apptronik, where I help build humanoid robots. I hold an MS and BS in Mechanical Engineering from Stanford, with a focus on mechatronics, robotics, and product realization.

At Apptronik, I support the mechanical design, integration, and validation of humanoid robot systems, from modifying large Onshape assemblies with thousands of components to hands on improvements on our A2 wheeled base prototype. I evaluate structural and safety limits, design fixtures like our static display stand, run pre deployment testing, and debug hardware failures across actuators, hands, and harnesses.

I love tackling tough problems and turning ideas into working hardware, from truck aerodynamics to robotic arms to mentoring the next generation of engineers. I’m dedicated to integrating robotics, mechatronics, and thoughtful design to solve real world problems and make a positive impact.
